life is funny. i write about it.
I viewed this clip some weeks ago . . . True to the performer's credo, you give the viewer suspense (What would you/he do?), uneasy anticipation (Would there be an ugly incident?) and, thankfully, the tension of the narrative wound down to a thoughtful conclusion. This, evidently thanks to your own personal habit of self-examination and intellectual honesty, which means hitting the books and looking stuff up.Not that I blame you at all for your initial reaction . . . we know about the negative stuff. But as a former punk myself, an alumnus of the NY hardcore punk scene (and a brown man to boot:)), I can assure you that the history is richer and more complex than folks might imagine. And you have already sussed this out, thanks to the estimable practice of looking stuff up. Good.
thank you!for all your comments- it's nice to know someone out there is reading/watching this stuff.
